What are we thinking? A 16K run in August?!
We meant to say a 10K, yeah a 10K Run.

The Lone Tree 10K Run

August 16, 2008
Start time: 7am
Start/end point: Turnersville Community Center
(It is approximately a 6.4 mile race)

The first place winner in running/walking/bike ride will get a free pass for the entire buffalo stampede, including the street dance!!!!

*Pre-Registration fee: $20 (included is a free buffalo stampede t-shirt!!)
Registration day of event $25.00

The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run Rules

All participants are required to report to the registration booth at least 15 minutes before the Fun Run.

After check-in, pre-registered participants will receive their “The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run” number. “Numbers” should be attached to the front of the participant’s shirt before the Run start time.
Those who did not pre-register are required to complete a Fun Run Entry Form at least 15 minutes before the Run start time. After completion of the form, participants will be given their Run number to be attached to the front of the participant’s shirt before the race start time.
Note: All entry forms must be signed by a legal guardian or parent.

Terms and Conditions

Participation

Participating in a Fun Run, as with any physical activity, can have its risks. The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run participants should be medically able and aware of the risks including, but not limited to, weather, course conditions and surfaces, falls and contact with other participants volunteers, or spectators.

Medical Support
Medical support for this event will be provided by volunteer personnel (who may be called upon to provide assistance, including first aid, during or after the event). Medical volunteers will assist participants as necessary or appropriate. By entering and participating in the The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run, the entrant agrees to treatment by medical personnel, and also agrees to accept medical decisions about the entrant's fitness to participate or continue in the Run.
Rules and Regulations
Runners agree to obey and accept the rules of this race and any related events and abide by the decision of any The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run official concerning the runner's ability to safely complete the run.
Course

The course will begin at the Community Center and head south down FM 182. Turn right at County Road 233 (The road that takes you past the cemetery) continue to County Road 2020. Turn right on County Road 2020 and stay on it until FM 217. Turn right onto FM 217 and then another right back onto FM 182 ending at the Community Center (essentially making a big circle around Turnersville). The finish will be approximately 10 miles from the start.
Weather
The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run will not take place in the case of inclement weather. Please check with a Buffalo Stampede worker on site in case of inclement weather. In the unlikely event The Buffalo Stampede is cancelled due to weather, The Lone Tree 10K Fun Run is also cancelled.
Prizes
The first place winner in running/walking/bike ride will get a free pass for the entire Buffalo Stampede, including the street dance!!!!
